Old Fort Scott
Location:
Fort Scott is located in Bourbon County, Kansas. It is 88 miles south of Kansas City on the Marmaton River
History:
Fort Scott, Kansas is a community of approximately 8,000 residents. The Old Fort was established in 1842 and remained in operation until 1853. In the days leading up to the Civil War, Fort Scott was in the midst of violent uprisings including murder and “mayhem” that was known as “Bleeding Kansas”.
Paranormal Reports:
Reports of apparitions and ectoplasmic mists.
