About Apartments

I was living in an apartment in Ozark....#24. I had just lost my grandpa and had been doing pretty well. Several things happened in this apartment during the time he was sick and after he passed.

First, let me say that I always try to debunk what happens before saying it is of the paranormal nature. However, some things cannot be explained away, no matter how hard I try.

I was living in the apartment with my two sons. Most of the time it was quiet and peaceful. After my grandpa got sick, I noticed more and more unexplainable events.

I was in my room one night and woke at 3 am to what sounded like a very small baby crying in my ear. I jumped and ran to make sure my boys were ok, knowing it wasn't one of their crys. They were sound asleep. I ran outside and walked cautiously around and listened for other people. I looked for footprints in the dew on the grass but there was nothing to indicate someone had been around my apartment. No one that I could think of had a baby that young around me. I couldn't explain it....I thought I must have been dreaming and awakened by something else.

About a week later, I got up and got my boys on the bus and decided to lay back down. I woke about an hour later and got up to go to the bathroom. I was going to go through the door from my room to the bathroom, but strangely it was locked. I figured it was one of the kids. I went to leave my room through the door that led to the hallway and it was also locked...from the inside. I'm sure I didn't lock it, and a bit of panic crept in. The door was very difficult to actually shut. You had to lift on the door and push hard to shut it. It came right open when I pulled. I thought maybe I was more tired than I thought or maybe one of my boys were messing with the lock before they left for school. When they got home I scolded them for it and they both looked shocked. Both denied any such thing.

One morning about 2:30 am I hear a crash like breaking glass in my kitchen. I jumped and ran thinking one of my boys had gotten up to get a drink and broke a glass. I was scared they would cut their feet so I ran to the kitchen. I carefully reached around the corner to turn on the light so I wouldn't step on any glass. I expected to see one of my kids in the kitchen but they were not. There was a broken coffee cup shattered on the floor.
I ran to check on them but they were asleep. I figured the cup had slipped off the dish drainer. I cleaned up the glass and went back to bed.
The next morning I sent the boys to school and started doing my morning dishes. I put a plastic rigid cup on the dish drainer and consciously lifted it to make sure it could not come loose. It lifted the entire dish drainer when I pulled up on it. I went to use the restroom, and thought I will finish the dishes when I get back. I was in the restroom no longer than 15 seconds when I heard the plastic cup hit the floor. I think my heart skipped a few beats.
When I went back to the kitchen, the plastic cup was halfway across the kitchen. I knew it would be difficult to break the cup, so I inspected it. It was cracked on the bottom. Not so much that it would leak, just enough to see it. I knew it took some force to do that to that cup. This I could not explain away.
